Wood: Boxelder burl dyed orange
Finish: Black Titanium
Inspired by my alma mater, Idaho State Bengals, the Orange and Black are back! The figure of boxelder burl is entrancing. The figure is never tiring to look at. The rollerball has a ceramic tip that flows like no other pen. It is a joy to write with. Grab this tiger by the tail!
When a log starts to rot, fungus can get into the wood and cause “spalting”. The black lines running through the wood is the result of that fungus. The stabilization process kills the fungus and firms up the wood, leaving the beauty behind. This piece of oak really is a looker. The rollerball is from Germany and uses a ceramic ball. The non-dry ink flows so smoothly, it feels and looks like a fountain pen without the mess. Rollerballs are perfect for left-handed writers as the ink dries instantly. No smears! The black titanium finish wears forever and adds a tang of mystery to this beautiful pen.
Thuya burl is from Morocco and has wonderful red swirls of wood grain. It is very exotic and attractive. I can look at it for hours and never tire of the intricate patterns.
Wood: Blue and Orange dyed Boxelder Burl
Finish:Black Titanium
Show you are a member of Bronco Nation. This cigar pen sports the blue and orange of Boise State. Boxelder burl is vacuum pressed with dyed resins for a deep color – just as deep as the devotion to our Broncos!
Mother Nature designed the wood for this pen. After the tree fell, mold began to break the wood down. The black lines and unique colors are the result. The wood is sealed in resin to kill the mold and stabilize the wood. This pen is built on the Cross pen chassis and is a pleasure to write with.
